CHEYANNE BRAE IS HAVING A HOT AFFAIR and she’s adamant that partner Chris Ainsworth understands completely.
For Cheyanne, dubbed The Reno Chick, is madly in love with renovating houses. It’s her passion, it’s paving her way to wealth and it’s a crucial clog in her plan to retire at the age of 35. “The houses are like babies to me” the 32 year old happily admits.
They keep me up at night sometimes and sometimes I swear at them. But they can give you lots of joy as long as you treat them well”
The flight attendant turned property expert and author, with a real estate portfolio nudging 2 million, lives a life in a whirl of activity. She started down the property path and now packs renovating, research, leading property seminars, and workshops and professional mentoring into her days at the helm of www.cheyanne.com.au.
“She can be exhausting” says Chris, a trained chef cum bricklayer. “Often there are times I’m in bed three hours before she is and I don’t go to bed early. Her switch off comes at the point of exhaustion.”
Cheyanne and Chris are in the renovating game together and both expect to complete their Builder’s Licence early next year. It’s part of paving their way to freedom.
“I think very early on I realised my day job wasn’t going to give me the freedom or wealth I wanted in life,” Cheyanne says. So she threw herself into research, reading, going to seminars, workshops and weekend retreats to figure out how to make money and then set her sights on the property market. Her aim: to create enough wealth to have freedom.
“I want a lot of freedom so I need lots of money to achieve that” she says.
